NAPBC Recognition

NAPBC Recognition

Boulder Community Hospital has earned a full three-year accreditation from the National Accreditation Program for Breast Centers (NAPBC), recognition of the breadth and qual-ity of services the hospital and its physicians provide to patients with breast cancer.

Boulder Community is the only accredited facility located north of Den-ver. There are only 11 NAPBC-accredited breast centers in Colorado.

The NAPBC certification program is ad-ministered by the American College of Surgeons. Receiving care at a NAPBC-accredited center ensures that a patient will have access to:

  • Comprehensive care, including a full range of state-of-the-art services
  • A multidisciplinary team approach to coordinate the best treatment options
  • Information about ongoing clinical trials and new treatment options

“This accreditation was earned by a team of physicians, nurses and other clinical professionals who have worked together for years to expand the range of services and quality of care provided at BCH for patients with breast cancer,” said medical oncologist Lori Jensen, MD, of Rocky Mountain Cancer Centers. “Accreditation is tangible proof that we’re able to provide the highest level of breast cancer care to patients in the Boulder County area.”

BCH breast cancer patients benefit from several invaluable emotional support services, including a Breast Health Naviga-tor, an experienced oncology nurse who provides patients and their families personalized guidance through breast cancer treatment, from diagnosis to recovery and beyond.
